Jeff Gelalich is a 2009 OF with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from La Verne, CA who attends Bonita. Jeff is an athletic well built outfielder with serious tools. He has a loose arm in the outfield and his throws reach the low 90's. He glides in the outfield with good range and speed (6.69 60). At the plate he has gap to gap power with good strength in swing. He can really hit and drove some balls hard in the games. Jeff is short to the ball and his hands really work at the plate. He has a good approach and also shows plus instincts on the bases. Jeff is an excellent student and an outstanding 2009 prospect, one of the best, to follow.very closely.

Jeff Gelalich is a 2009 OF/2B with a 6'1'', 170 lb. frame from La Verne, CA who attends Bonita HS. He was one of the more talented, polished, and projectable players in the event and was selected as a Top Prospect. Gelalich has a lean athletic build with athletic proportions and will only get stronger. He is a very good baseball player with tools that rate well in a present day sense and will continue to evolve. Frankly, he has fringe average pro tools right now. Gelalich has an excellent hitting approach and an easy swing. He hits to all fields and has some present day pull side power. His whole field power will come on as he gets stronger. Defensively Gelalich showed off a strong arm and his throws carry well. He breaks and closes on the ball really well too. Basically Gelalich is a five tool college prospect. At the college level he could play any of the three outfield positions and has a middle of the line-up bat. He also has a pro future, likely following three years of college, though don't be surprised if it comes sooner than that. On top of all that, Gelalich is an excellent student.
