Mitchell Patito is a 2009 RHP/IF with a 6'0'', 175 lb. frame from Mira Loma, CA who attends Patriot. Patito has a medium sized frame with a good athletic build. He has some present strength with room to fill. Patito pitches from a 3/4 slot with a long arm action. His arm works well and he has a loose quick arm. The ball comes out clean and he gets extension out front. Patito gets closed at balance point and uses tall and fall style mechanics. He pitches on a down plance and gets occasional armside run on his fastball. Patito pitches aggressively in the zone and pitches with a confident demeanor. He will pitch inside and maintains good balance through his mechanics. Patito throws a change-up with good armside run and sink on it. At the plate, Patito starts his swing with a nice hand load and has an inside out swing. Defensively, He has nice hands with developing defensive tools. Patito is a very good student.
