Andrew Thurman is a 2010 RHP with a 6'3'', 195 lb. frame from Orange, CA who attends Orange Lutheran HS. Good athletic pitcher's body, some physical projection. Well paced delivery, stays balanced, arm is smooth, lands on closed/hard front leg causing a little release inconsistency. FB steady 86-88 mph with occ hard arm side run, slurve type CB shows sharp biting action, big sweeping break, showed change up. Shows command, good idea how to pitch. Should be very successful at the next level. Very good student, verbal to UC-Irvine.

Andrew Thurman is a 2010 RHP/3B/OF with a 6'1'', 175 lb. frame from Orange, CA who attends Lutheran. Thurman has a medium sized frame with a lean athletic build. He has room to fill out and has some projectability to his body. Thurman pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a medium length arm action. His arm works well and he has some arm speed. Thurman uses a high leg kick and gets his hips closed at balance point. He maintains good balance through his delivery and he has projectable velocity. Thurman gets armside run and sink on his fastball and he works quick on the mound. The bottom falls out of his change up and it has good deception. He also throws a 10/4 curveball with big break. At the plate, Thurman starts with an arm bar with a deep load. He generates some bat speed and he has an aggressive hitting approach. Thurman has solid actions in the outfield with raw arm strength. He is also a very good student.
