Joe Spring is a 2008 C/P with a 6'1'', 190 lb. frame from Owasso, OK who attends Owasso. Joe has a thick athletic build with present strength throughout. He works hard behind plate and is a good blocker. He showed good footwork and a quick high transfer and release. He has an accurate arm and his throws were consistently on the bag at second base. His top velocity was 74 mph, and he turned in a best pop time of 2.00. At the plate he has bat speed, and makes consistent solid contact. He shows signs of power potential with the bat, and has some pop already. On the mound Joe throws from a 3/4 arm slot, with a solid motion and good tempo. He is an average effort guy with a long loose backside, and he flashed a curveball that worked well. His fastball has slight arm side run his fastball, which topped at 82 mph. Joe is also a good student.
