Jordan Johnston is a 2009 RHP/3B with a 6'2'', 178 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends North Cobb HS. He has a tall frame with a lean upper body and some lower half strength. Johnston has a sound delivery with good direction to the plate and a high 3/4's release point. He repeats his delivery very well on his fastball and is able to spot his fastball around the zone. He topped out at 86 mph and had nice life on his fastball as well. Johnston will need work on both his off speed pitches. He tends to slow down his body and arm on both his curveball and change up. He casts his curveball behind his head and it has a hump in it. Johnston's arm strength will carry him until he gets a feel for other pitches. Johnston is a good overall athlete who runs a 7.27 and has nice actions at third base. He has good hitting fundamentals with good coil to load his bat and some bat speed. He's a good follow.
