Aaron Labrie is a 2009 LHP/OF with a 6'4'', 195 lb. frame from Sioux Falls, SD who attends Washington HS. Well proportioned build, slopping shoulders, could gain strength. Well paced leg raise delivery, lands slightly closed, H 3/4's to OH release point, high wrap in back. FB steady at 84-85 mph, touched 87, mostlly straight, big breaking downer CB, can get CB under bats, nice sink/arm speed on change up. Finesse lefty approach, all three pitches for strikes at any count. Good student, signed with Wichita State.

Aaron Labrie is a 2009 LHP/OF with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Sioux Falls, SD who attends Washington HS. He has a nice athletic build with some present strength. Labrie has good raw stuff that should keep getting better as his pitching mechanics improve. He lands hard on a very stiff front leg and falls off hard and big to the third base side on release. Labrie sometimes takes his throw back from the catcher 15 feet to the side of the rubber towards third base. Despite this, Labrie has a loose, quick arm that produces a 82-85 mph fastball that's 85 as much as it is 82. He throws a 73 mph slurve type curveball that has pretty good spin and depth on it. Labrie's low 70's change up has nice sinking action at the plate but he tips it off with a hand waggle in back. Labrie does a good job considering his delivery of throwing strikes to the middle of the plate. He has a ton of potential for the patient and adventuresome pitching coach and his athletic ability will be a big plus in making adjustments.
