2004 Underclass National Showcase
Jabriel Bakhit -- Bakhit is a slender 5-8 junior middle infielder from Nebraska. He’s a switch hitter with similar nice swings from both sides of the plate. Bakhit has a good set up and good hand/eye coordination in manipulating the bat head but tends to really jump out on his front side, which robs him some in his ability to generate top bat speed. Bakhit has better arm strength than he showed in workouts, as he has a few balance issues at times. He's good defensively with nice hands and good instincts. He showed good first step quickness on the bases and out of the batter’s box and profiles defensively to second base. Bakhit is a very good student.
