2004 Sunshine West Showcase
WP - Jack Bonnikson is a 2005 OF/1B from De La Salle HS in CA. At 6 foot 2 and 200 pounds, Bonnikson has a very strong frame with a Big League body. He doesn’t lack any power either with a fast bat hitting lots of powerful shots to left field. He had quick hands and showed a wide stance with good weight transfer. In the outfield his arm plays and his instincts looked sharp. He entered the event on short rest playing multiple games for several days up until the day before the showcase and still played the game as hard as he could. We liked that kind of aggressive mentality. His ability coupled with his attitude will draw attention from many top schools.
