Jack Saladino is a 2009 C/P/3B with a 6'1'', 165 lb. frame from Richmond, VA who attends Mills Godwin. Jack has a lean athletic build with some room to fill out. At the plate Jack has an aggressive hitting approach and turns on the ball easily. He tends to get long and rotational in his swing and needs to work on staying back and inside of the baseball longer. Behind the plate Jack has a good release and transfer and is very accurate with his throws. Once he gets a little more arm strength he will be very tough to steal on. On the mound Jack is a high energy pitcher that throws with a short arm action with good arm speed. His best pitch is a tight 12 to 6 curveball with nice downward action. Jack is a solid student that should attract the attention of many small to mid-level college programs.
