2004 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Gorman is a 2005 SS/OF from Norfolk, MA with a 5'9"/175 pound frame. He showed good instincts in the field with above average footwork and range. He topped out at 80 mph across the infield with good accuracy and some carry. At the plate, he hits from an open, crouched stance. He has quick hands and a short compact stroke produces lots of bat speed and good gap to gap power. He has a good feel for the game, and knowledge of the strike zone. He showed good athleticism during the entire event and ran a 7.12 in the 60. Jake is an excellent student.
