Martinez is a slender 6-1 right handed pitcher from the Miami area with some good physical projection and a strong right arm. He topped out at 86 mph during four innings in Fort Myers and consistently pitched at 83-84 mph with very good late sinking action on his fastball. Martinez stays closed and consistent in his delivery well and pitches aggressively with his fastball. He also threw a 72-75 mph slurve type breaking ball and a 71-73 mph change up that are developing pitches. Martinez looks like a young pitcher who could step right into the JC ranks and compete or develop at a 4 year school while he adds some strength. He’ll be a good sign for some program. He is athletic with a very good arm. His best years are yet to come.
