James McLaughlin is a big strong RHP from Solana Beach, CA. We first spotted him at a PG ID Camp in Cal. He is a good athlete for a big guy, runs well and threw 91 from the outfield. He also showed a good swing with serious power potential. He has RF written all over him. On the mound he wasn't quite as sharp as we saw in the ID Camp, but he topped out at 87 with raw mechanics. He threw from an upright position and a good pitching coach will have a field day with the big athlete. He has a ton of untapped talent and he's real good right now. James is a very good student and could really blossom into a high draft pick down the road.
