From right side has a good coil and set up, good body, line drive swing, short load and stride, solid contact. From left side has smooth swing, quick hands, bat speed, and a power swing approach, gets very good extension, hits it well.

CJ Lusted is a 2008 3B/P/C with a 6'1'', 172 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA, who attends Centennial HS. Name to the Top Prospect Team. Lusted has a lean and athletic frame with projectability. Defensively he has nice actions at third base with soft hands, nice footwork, and body control. Lusted has range to make plays to both sides, and showed a nice back hand. He is an advanced defensive third baseman. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who hits from an open and upright stance with good bat speed. Lusted has a smooth swing and shows the ability to drive the ball showing projectable power. He is also a patient and disciplined hitter that doesn't chase bad pitches. He gets leverage at contact and smoked several balls in game action. On the mound he has polished mechanics with a good delivery. He throws strikes with a 77 mph fastball, and mixed in a 69 mph curveball with good spin. He projects to throw harder as he adds strength.
