Mathew Harjung is a 2009 LHP/OF/1B with a 6'2'', 170 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Chaparral. Tall lean build, projects to add strength, short arm action on the mound, very balanced delivery, hides the ball well, finishes well to the plate, keeps the ball down in the zone, works ahead, late life on fastball, very good feel for change-up, has very good idea how to pitch, will hit the ball to all fields at the plate, line-drive approach, keeps hands inside the ball well, balanced hitting approach, centers up some balls, gets after the ball in the outfield, solid footwork, nice throwing action at first base, good hands, solid student.
