Jonathan Kutscherousky- OF- Lake Travis, HS, Austin, TX- 6'1"/195. He had one of the best workouts. He ran a 6.77-sixty, and threw 86 mph from the OF with good on-line carry. In batting practice he showed power potential with a strong lower half in his swing. He hit a double down the opposite field line during the game for a double. He has serious tools and playability. He has signed with Texas A&M but could get some serious draft interest. Kutscherousky has a bright future which ever path he takes.

WP - Jonathan Kutscherousky is a 2005 OF/P from Austin, TX. With a linebackers body and good athleticism, Kutscherousky showed some outstanding tools and ever-improving hitting ability at the showcase. He proved that he can run consistently under a 7 by registering times of 6.87, 6.89 and 6.93 in the 60. He played the entire weekend full-speed and threw with Big League arm strength as his ball carried better than ever to the base. He swung the bat hard and drove the 365 gap routinely by staying on his back side well and centering the ball in BP. He is close to his ceiling physically but already has good Raw Power. He seems to get better every time we have seen him, and we think that trend will continue throughout the 2004 summer and fall baseball seasons. Big time prospect. Excellent student.

Jonathan Kutscherousky -- Kutscherousky is a strongly built and physically mature junior outfielder from Texas. He not only is strong, but his speed/arm strength tool combination is very good as well and plays at all levels. Kutscherousky took a very good batting practice for us, showing above average loft power potential with good extension and bat speed. He turned on some balls and really crushed them. He’s got to be scary with a metal bat in his hands and the pro scouts are going to notice his bat speed and approach, too. We did note that Kutscherousky’s game approach was a little more tentative, as if he were overanxious or trying to avoid a strikeout. We’ll hope this was a short aberration. Kutscherousky’s also a strong student as well. Big time bat with outstanding power potential.

Kutscherousky is just a 2005 graduate and already shows some top ability as an outfielder for the next level. He is a big strong 6 foot tall and 195 pounder with good running ability and a good arm from the outfield. The 83 mph velocity he showed on his throw carried well and came out of his hand easy. There is more in him. He will further benefit from fielding the ball outside his leg and gaining momentum on his throw and if he does that he could potentially show Major League defensive ability right away. His bat has some serious power potential. He might hit the ball as hard as any "05" in the country. He has lots of talent that will not be overlooked. Jonathan is a good student.
