Jonathon Vierra is a 2006 middle infielder/third baseman from Elverta, California with a lean build at 5'9", 150 pounds. He hits from a wide base with high hands and a big leg hitch for timing. He has a short compact stroke with quick hands to the ball, and creates very good bat speed. He has a level swing plane with a contact approach. He hits hard line drives and uses the whole field. Defensively, Vierra has a solid glove and a good feel for the middle infield positions. He showed good footwork and quick actions. Profiles as a second baseman in college. Jonathon is a very tough player with a lot of desire, and he will play at the next level.
