Jordan Danks is a 2005 OF from Round Rock, TX. Danks was unable to attend the showcase workouts, so we didn’t get to see him run, field, or take BP in a controlled environment, but we’ve seen him often before. This AFLAC All-American is a fun player to watch because he does things so easily and athletically on the field. We especially enjoyed the ball he sliced up the LCF gap during one game because it let us watch him get his long 6'5" frame moving at full speed around the bases. Danks is one of the most projectable players in the country, regardless of position, and one of our scouts compared him to 2003 2nd round pick and Perfect Game player Ryan Sweeney for his frame and athletic ability. Sweeney should have been a first round pick and Jordan has even more power than Sweeney. He could easily end up being the second first rounder in his family.

Jordan Danks is a perfectly built 6'5/200 OF from Round Rock, TX. Danks, the brother of Rangers 2003 first round pick John Danks, has an entirely different tools package than his older sibling. He’s an extremely projectable athlete with a smooth and powerful left handed swing and the ability to play centerfield. He runs well and plays defense in the outfield extremely well. He plays hard and has early round tools. He has off the chart power potential with wood. Dank's swing can get a bit long, but he will create a lot of very serious draft interest with the bat, his entire package of tools and one of the best baseball bodies in the country. He really looks the part! Jordan was selected to the AFLAC All American Team.
