Rudy Acosta is a 2010 RHP with a 6'6'', 190 lb. frame from Spring Valley, CA who attends Mount Miguel HS. Tall angular build, long limbs, lots of room to fill out. High 3/4's tight release, compact arm action, leans upper body back to get arm through, tall and fall delivery. FB touches 90, mostly 87-88, good downhill angle. Sharp downer breaking ball, , locates well, good feel for change up, pitches down with secondary pitches. Has thrown much harder in past, working through delivery changes at present. Velocity is down and arm action has changed. Will see if he returns to old self. Mexican citizen, only in States one year.
