Gary Russo is a 2011 1B/OF/P with a 6'1'', 175 lb. frame from St Louis, MO who attends MICDS. Lean projectable build, high waist, fields well at 1B, fields out front, hands work, good target, can pitck it. Slightly open at plate, shows bat speed, hustles out of box, gets down the line, solid line drives to opposite field, good swings vs. middle-away pitches. Over the top release on mound, long limbed pitcher's frame, has an idea, nasty CH with good sink and run - strikeout pitch, good tempo to delivery, throws downhill. Good student.
