Julio Morales is a 2007 OF with a 6'1'', 155 lb. frame from San Juan, Puerto Rico, who attends PR Baseball Academy HS. Julio has a projectable lean athletic build with room to fill out. Julio has good raw hitting tools with solid bat speed and some raw power potential. He tends to break down mechanically because his set-up does not put him in a good position to hit. He needs to work on his balance and getting his weight transfer smoothed out. In the outfield Julio has easy actions with a long loose arm action. He has the tools to be a solid rightfielder at the highest college level. Julio is a projectable prospect that could attract the attention of many high-level college programs.

Julio Morales is a 2007 OF/SS/P with a 6'1'', 165 lb. frame from San Juan PR, who attends the Puerto Rican Baseball Academy. He has a loose and slender athletic body with lots of life and bounce. Morales showed excellent outfield arm strength, throwing 89 mph in drills with very good carry and duplicating that in the games. He's a 6.96 runner with gliding running actions. Offensively, Morales hits from an open stance with a loose, tension free swing. He generates good bat speed right now and should add to that as he gets stronger. He flashed some power to the alley's when he hot his hands extended through the ball and there is more to come there. We didn't get to see as much of Morales as we wanted to but what we saw we liked a lot. He's a high ceiling young athlete with some baseball skills.

Julio Morales is a 2007 OF/IF/RHP from San Juan, Puerto Rico with a 6'1, 155 lb. frame. With an athletic build, Julio proved to be the top pitching prospect at the event. On the mound Julio throws from a high 3/4 slot with a long loose arm action. He has a lot of late run on a 83-86 FB, and works the corners very well with this pitch. Julio has very smooth and easy mechanics, that are complimented by a very quick arm. His command was very advanced for his age, and he featured a solid 10 to 4 slurve to complement his FB. Julio has the making of a highest level player, and there is no reason to think he won't be throwing the low 90's by the time he graduates. At the plate Julio shows solid bat speed, with good power potential. If he were to simplify his swing mechanics, he has the tools to be a high level hitter as well at pitcher. In the outfield Julio looks like a natural. He has long easy strides, and an easy throwing action that makes him look like a natural in right field. Julio Morales is a player that will draw interest throughout the scouting communites for many years to come
