Peterson is a 6-3, 200 lb catcher from Florida with a very good baseball body. He ran the 60 in 7.61 and showed good arm strength and quickness in drills by throwing 76 mph with a low pop time of 1.93. Peterson has the chance to develop into a good hitter with a few adjustments. He has obvious strength and bat speed and showed hit could make adjustments with the bat head. Peterson has a narrow stance and gets to his front side very early looking to pull the ball aggressively, which is what he does on inside pitches, especially on the lower half. He’s very open to pitches on the outside half now, which he’ll have to work on. Overall, he has an excellent body, good college level physical tools and the chance to keep improving. Good follow.
