He made good adjustments with his hands, and he went the other way with pitches more than we have seen in the past. Johnson has the frame and potential with the bat to be a draft prospect after at least one year in college. He could be a good draft and follow as he has committed to a JC.

Johnson is only a sophomore Left-hander that also swings a good bat. He is already 6 foot 3 and 175 pounds. His body is lean and long but he showed some strength and athleticism in many areas already. Listed as a first position pitcher, Johnson showed a little tension in his arm but did throw a lot of strikes. His fastball was between 75-77 mph and relied exclusively on that pitch. We seem to think his bat has even more potential. He showed some good bat-speed, nice level swing and he produced many hard line drives into center field. He displayed strike-zone awareness and natural instincts at the plate. The deep gap power he already has with wood shows potential that he has over the next 2 years as he packs more weight on his frame.
