David Kerian is a 2011 SS/3B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Dakota Dunes, SD who attends Bishop Heelan HS. Well proportioned athletic build, some present strength. Switch-hitter, very good left handed hitting tools. Still start, calm approach, fast strong hands, short and quick to the ball, creates bat speed and drives the ball hard, could improve with better rhythm. Less bat speed, longer swing path right handed, shows some pull/lift. 6.66 runner, very good runner underway. Lacks shortstop actions/tools, better at second base, profiles best in the outfield (LF or CF). Running speed and left handed bat are high level tools, rest of the package still developing.
