Kristofer Payne is a 2006 OF/3B from Westerville, Ohio, with a strong build at 5'10", 160 pounds. He hits from a balanced position, with high hands, and stays balanced during the swing. He has quick hands to the ball, with a short compact swing. He has a good opposite field approach, keeping his hands inside the ball, with an inside out swing. He is a good contact hitter, and has excellent bat control. From the outfield, he has good range, and a strong arm topping out at 81 mph. He has a smooth arm action, and made accurate throws with good carry. Kris is a good student, with solid tools, and as he matures will be a high level college prospect.
