Woodruff is a quick second baseman who might not produce off the chart numbers in workout skills. He did prove that he can play the game and hit good pitching. At 5 foot 8 and 160 pounds he can move well in the infield and plays much quicker than his 60 time implies. His arm strength also plays better than the 73 mph he threw across the diamond because of how well his throws carry. He especially excelled with the bat. He showed a level swing that starts low but got to the ball consistently. In the games, Woodruff looked like a hitter. He drove sharp line drives and battled at the plate. He is an outstanding student !
