Sam Mahar is a 2011 LHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Pleasant Prairie, WI who attends Kenosha Tremper HS. Medium athletic frame, young face, plenty of room to get stronger. On line leg raise delivery, compact arm action, hides the ball well, arm is quick and tension free. Fastball to 85 mph, have seen up to 89 mph in the past, mostly straight. Very nice change up, with nice sink and arm speed, spots change up very well. Good depth to 1/7 curveball. Mixes it up and has a good idea. Good student, signed with Kentucky.
