Matt Blanton: Blanton is a primary corner infielder with Designated Hitter probably written into his future unless he firms up his body a bit. He has broad shoulders with a thick chest and strong arms that he uses well offensively. Blanton has a nice swing path with good hand action and generates good bat speed with wood. He should be even more effective with metal in his hand. If anything, Blanton hit better against live pitching in games than in batting practice, hitting a double and a couple of singles and making consistent solid contact.
