Lenski is a left handed hitting senior catcher from Wisconsin with a very strong, compact body. This kid is a very good young hitter who opened some eyes in Cedar Rapids with his performance. Lenski hits from an open stance with a pull oriented approach and an upper cut swing with very good bat speed. He’ll show you extra base and loft power but also made consistent good contact and kept his head on the ball well. Lenski worked out both as a catcher and in the outfield and has the athletic ability and tools to do both. He threw 83 mph from the outfield and 75 mph from behind the plate with a best pop time of 1.94. We watched Lenski run the bases and he looks faster than his 7.69 60 time during the game. He also showed quick feet behind home plate shifting for balls. Lenski is a very good student who has signed with Madison Area CC but has a higher level in his future.

Lenski is a sophomore catcher with a young but powerful Left-handed bat. At 5 foot 11, 165 pounds there is plenty of room for growth and Lenski just may end up as a power hitting catcher at the next level. He showed potential with his arm by throwing a 2.12 pop time at 74 mph to second base. He received the ball well and set up comfortably showing nice reaction to the wild pitch and blocking skills. With the bat he flashed power by shifting into the ball and getting good extension in BP. He appears to have the type of body that will grow taller and stronger and if that happens, we will expect that bat to draw lots of attention.
