Matthew is a primary LH pitcher from Roanoke Va. A young 2007 player with 7.48 sixty speed, and 4.59 home to first from the left side. From a 5'8-160 frame, he fits the mold of a finesse LH pitcher with good cb and excellent command. He spot his 78(fb) very well with movement off both sides of the plate, and uses his 64(cb) as his out pitch. A 68(change) shows that it will be a very good pitch. Not the biggest player on the field, but he carves. As a 2007, he shows very good projection. College coaches need to keep an eye on this guy, he already knows how to pitch and as he adds velocity, he will deal. Matthew also worked out in the OF with 77(of) velocity and good carry and very athletic release. At the plate, a LH hitter who showed ave high school power and a swing that tends to get wristy. He uses a rock back load and tries to pull too many balls. We see him on the mound, with very good projectability.
