Boomer White is a 2012 C/OF with a 5-10 192 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Memorial HS. Short compact build, very good present strength. 6.70 runner, quick actions behind the plate, makes up for fair raw arm strength with quick feet and release, good hands receiving, take charge attitude behind the plate. Spread hitting stance, short swing, quick hands, very simple and direct approach, stays back well but tends to pull off at times, line drive swing plane, looks to pull, ball comes off the barrel hard. Hustling type approach. Good student, verbal commitment to Texas Christian.

White is a very good athlete, very good defensive skills behind the plate, quick exchange, accurate throws, 1.90 in game pop. Nice compact swing, hard contact, keeps it simple, ball comes off barrel well. Very interesting catching prospect to watch closely.
