Jake Reed is a 2011 RHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from La Mesa, CA who attends Helix Charter HS. Lean athletic build, room to get stronger. Fast paced delivery with some drop and drive, mid 3/4's whippy arm action, good arm speed. Upper 80's fastball will show plus life frequently, same type of hard running life on change up, CB flashes sharpness and depth from a bit higher release point. Live on all pitches his biggest present strength. Three pitch starter with bright future. Good student.
