Michael Stancik is a 2008 MIF/3B/OF with a 5'11'', 180 lb. frame from Ashburn, VA, who attends Stone Bridge HS. Was named to the Top Prospect Team at the event. He has a medium frame with athleticism and projectability. Defensively he has nice footwork in the middle of the diamond showing fluid actions and the ability to get to many balls. Stancik has soft hands that allow him to make plays look easy. On slow rollers he shows his athleticism along with good body control. He will make all the plays. Also has solid arm strength and makes very accurate throws. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a wide base with a high back elbow. He uses a simple approach and looks like a mature hitter in the box. Stancik drives through the ball well staying balanced throughout, and showing good bat speed through the hitting zone. He makes line drive contact to all fields, and juiced some balls showing projectable power. He is an excellent student as well.

Michael Stancik is a 2008 MIF with a 5'10'', 170 lb. frame from Ashburn VA, who attends Stone Bridge HS. He has a medium build with developing strength and it looks like he's closer to 6-0, 185 than his listed size. Stancik shows nice hitting tools and has always hit well with wood at PG events. He hits with a high back elbow and uses his quick hands to develop bat speed. He hits through the ball and gets good extension out front. Stancik likes the ball inside and has the quickness to turn on pitches. He's more of a line drive type hitter now but could develop some power in the future. Defensively, Stancik has good lateral range and quickness in the field. His fielding fundamentals are solid, he stays balanced and gets rid of the ball quickly. It's hard to say where his best position might be; his arm is a bit short for shortstop but he looks good at 2B or 3B and might even be intriguing as a catcher with his developing strength. Stancik also runs well, recording a 6.99 60 times. He's a solid all around player who keeps improving. Stancik is also a very good student.

Michael Stancik is a 2008 SS/2B/OF from Stone Bridge HS in Ashburn, VA, with a 5'9'', 160 lb. frame. He has a young body and young face and should continue to mature physically and get stronger. Stancik ran the 60 in 7.31 and threw 76 mph during infield drills. He showed good actions at both shortstop and at second base, with good balance and agility, soft hands and some arm strength for a sophomore. He made some nice plays especially at second base and showed some range at that position. Stancik is a polished hitter for his age and has very sound hitting fundamentals. He uses his hands to hit and has a quick, short bat path through the ball. He stays back well, has some rhythm in his approach and hits through the ball. Stancik has enough bat speed for gap to gap power right now and should keep getting stronger. He has a good swing plane and produces consistent line drive contact. Stancik is a good young follow who should keep developing. He is also an excellent student.

Michael Stancik is a young 9th grader from Ashburn, Virginia. He's a MIF/OF with some very interesting tools and excellent present skills for his age. At 5'8", 140 lbs., he obviously projects to get bigger and much stronger over the next few years and he shows good present strength. He shows nice athletic actions and a developing arm that could turn into a MLB tool down the road. He runs very well for a freshman and this too could develop into a MLB tool. His best present tool is the bat. Stancik handles the wood now and will only get better. He probably mashes the ball with a metal bat. He shows bat speed and power potential with good swing mechanics. Michael is a young player to keep a close eye on, and he could easily end up being an excellent prospect. He's also a very good student.
