Matt Brown is a 2011 RHP/1B with a 6'3'', 215 lb. frame from Stillwater, OK who attends Stillwater HS. Large frame, big strong build. Smooth delivery, high 3/4's release point, repeats mechanics well. Nice 2 seam movement on FB's down, topped at 87 mph, uses fastball well. Wraps CB in back, flashes good spin but tips pitch. Good mound presence, has an idea. Has strength in swing, ball jumps well, could develop more power with increased lower 1/2 use. Outstanding student. Named to Top Prospect Team.

Brown has a tall strong frame with broad shoulders, pitches from a 3/4 arm slot, big deep cast in arm action, good arm speed, balanced, curveball has 11-5 spin with good tilt and break, strong arm, good down plane on fastball. Hits from an open stance, toe tap trigger, ball will jump off bat, strong hands, shows bat speed. Brown is an excellent student. Named to Top Prospect Team.
