Nate Simon is a lean athletic 6'1/170 SS from Duvall, WA. He runs well, but that's not his major strength. He has very quick feet, soft hands, silky smooth actions and a nice quick arm across the infield. He can cover the ground and make all the plays. He hits out of an open stance and shows strong hands. He is deceptively strong for his build. He can hit and we think he'll hit with some power. This is a very good player with lots of projection left. He should play at the highest level of college baseball and he could have a nice pro future. Nate is a very good student.

WP - Nate Simon is a 2005 SS from Redmond HS in Washington. Simon is a smooth shortstop who showed the quickest feet of any infielder at the showcase, to go along with some of the best defensive actions and it all translated well in the games. His arm is playable for a middle infielder and his hitting ability was sharp. He's best suited as a 2B right now, but we think he'll end up a top SS as he continues to fill out a very projectable frame and gain strength. We liked the way he stayed inside the ball and was able to hit the ball to all fields. Nate is a top player from the Northwest. He was selected to the PG National at Tropicana and had an equally impressive weekend.
