Mangiapane is a quick actioned athlete who has the makings of a very good offensive player. He hits out of a slightly open stance with his hands close to his body and has a simple line drive swing that produced consistent line drive contact in both batting practice and in games. Mangiapane ran a 7.28 in the 60 but appears much faster on the bases and is very aggressive. In fact, despite the 60 time, we feel safe in calling him an MLB average runner. We’re not sure what position Mangiapane is going to end up playing. His arm strength was OK for catching but he’s a good enough athlete to play any number of positions in the field. He's definitely a high level player/hitter.

Nathan is a solid defensive catcher with some tools. He shows arm strength and he has a quick release. He moves well, light on his feet and blocks balls well. He popped around 2.0 in the workouts. Good hitter with line drive power potential and he's going to get stronger. Runs very well for a catcher at just over 7.0 Good 04 athletic catching prospect.

Very good "04" catcher who likes to play and has some interesting tools. Runs real well and he is athletic. Throws are solid and accurate, but he could improve his arm strength and transfer technique a little. Very good body. We like him best as a hitter. Quick hands he whistles the barrel through the zone. Loose hands and he flashes gap to gap power with wood. Interesting follow!

Very athletic, showed a MLB average home to first with a slow start. Has enough arm and can hit. Another "04" to watch closely.
