Jake Yacinich is a 2011 IF/ with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Des Moines, IA who attends Dowling Catholic. Long slender athletic build, room to fill. Showed well defensively, works through the ball with good balance, quick release with good carry on throws. Good actions, moves well defensively and on the bases. Raw at the plate, showed tools with middle of the field line drive approach, but bat wraps preventing him from pulling the ball. With an adjustment he would likely be be a good present contact hitter and his body projects. Solid player already with a lot of unrealized potential. Very good student, committed to Iowa.
