Austin Peacock is a 2005 first baseman from McDonough, Georgia, with a strong frame at 6'1", 210 lbs. Defensively Peacock has playable actions at first base, and he showed some arm strength across the diamond. Peacock's upside comes at the plate. He has a good approach with excellent present raw power. Peacock has pro level bat speed with a good load, and shows his power potential with good leverage. He is a line drive hitter with strength in his swing. He hit a double off the left center field fence during one of the showcase games. Peacock's bat and power potential will be his ticket. Austin is a very good student.

Austin Peacock is a big 6'1/210 1B from McDonough, GA. He will tone up and become a big time player at the next level. He shows very good arm strength and nice hands defensively. The bat shows immense potential. His swing is a bit long right now, but he can create Big League power bat speed. He's very aggressive with a powerful swing that is fun to watch. We didn't see it in Tropicana Field but we're sure Peacock has hit some tape measure shots. That bet with a little refinement could be very attractive to Big League scouts and top level colleges. Peacocks arm strength would play as a catcher. He is an excellent student.
