Pablo Bermudez is a 2008 OF with a 5'11'', 180 lb. frame from Miami Shores, FL who attends Miami Springs HS. He's a live bodied athlete with good present strength. Bermudez has consistently shown above average run and throw tools in the past. He ran the 60 in 6.68 and had solid arm strength in the outfield, just not quite the big plus arm he's shown in the past. Offensively, Bermudez hits out of an open, tall stance with a calm load and some bat wrap that gives his swing a bit of length. He has plus bat speed and the ball comes off the barrell hard when he squares up. Bermudez shows good power to all fields. When he gets in a groove, he can be the type of power/speed offensive threat that can greatly impact an offense. Bermudez likes to play and plays hard. He is a good student.

Pablo Bermudez is a 2008 OF with a 5'11'', 180 lb. frame from Miami FL, who attends Miami Springs HS. He has a very live, quick twitch athletic body with deceptive strength. Bermudez was named to the showcase Top Prospect Team. Bermudez has outstanding raw bat speed, probably the best bat speed of any hitter at the showcase. He has some effort in his swing but stays pretty balanced. He's looking middle in and is just going to hammer pitches in that area, although he is weaker on balls away from him. The ball explodes off his bat and he can drive it out of the park on a line. Bermudez is also a plus runner at 6.64, although his swing keeps him from getting down to first base quickly, and can steal bases. Defensively, Bermudez has very good range in centerfield and an accurate, strong arm. Bermudez will have to make some adjustments as he moves up the ladder but he has tools that remind you of a youthful Sammy Sosa. Bermudez is also a good student.

Pablo Bermudez is a 2008 OF from Miami Springs High School in Miami Shores, FL, with a 5'11'', 175 lb. frame. Was named to the Top Prospect Team at the event. Bermudez is a young and athletic player with good speed (6.92-60) and quickness on the bases and defensively. In the outfield he moves to the ball well and has good instincts reading the ball off the bat. During this event he showed solid arm strength, but we have seen him throw much better in the past and control opposing teams from taking an extra base. He is a smooth outfielder who makes it look easy. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a rotational swing. Bermudez generates good bat speed and can drive the ball to the gaps with projectable power. He stays balanced through his swing and shows the ability to hit the ball the other way. Bermudez is a top level hitter with very good upside making him a must follow. He is a good student as well.
