Nick Rickles is a 2008 C/1B with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Loxahatchee, FL who attends Palm Beach Gardens HS. He has a long, tall frame and looks a bit taller than he's listed. Rickles has good athletic quickness behind the plate and very good arm strength. His fundamentals receiving still need polishing during games. He had a best game pop of 2.06, which was almost as good as his workout pop of 1.96. Offensively, Rickles has a deep pre-load to start his swing and a level, sweeping swing that has some bat speed. He hits best when he's staying inside the ball and working middle of the field away and using his hands at contact. He well get long to the ball at times. Rickles showed his athletic ability on the bases and was a smart and aggressive runner. He is a good student and projectable in all areas on the baseball field.

Nick Rickles is a 2008 C/1B with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Loxahatchee FL, who attends Palm Beach Gardens HS. He has a lean, large framed build that is easy to project getting stronger. Rickles was named to the showcase Top Prospect Team. He has very good all around catching and throwing tools and threw 75 mph during drills with a best pop time of 1.94. Rickles also had a game throw of 1.96 right on the bag. He's fairly deliberate in his throwing motion but has good arm strength and is very accurate and will throw out good runners. Offensively, Rickles hits with an upright stance and high hands which he loads well. He stays quiet and balanced during his swing and has a quick line drive swing. Rickles squares up on the ball very well and showed advanced hitting skills. With his projectable body he could develop very nice power down the road. Overall, Rickles is a nice projection with sound present tools. Keep a close eye on him for improvement. Rickles is also a good student.
