2003 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Bottigliero is an "04" OF who has some serious tools. He is a 5'10/195 with a strong solid build. He ran a 7.04 on a slow track and runs better than that in the games. He showed perhaps the best OF arm in Wareham, clocked at 88 mph with excellent carry and good fielding and throwing actions. His throws were extremely accurate. He is an excellent defensive outfielder. That said, his best tool might be the bat. He features a nice fluid swing with bat speed. He has excellent balance at the plate and has a nice approach to hitting. The ball jumps off his wood bat fast. He should hit with lots of power in the future. Could be scary with a metal bat in his hands. Paul is a good student.
