Jake Merhige is a 2013 OF/LHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Hauppauge, NY who attends Hauppauge. Merhige has a medium build. Switch hitter, quick bat, strong hands and wrists, can use lower half more, throws hands to ball, strength in swing from left side, much more polished from right. Good arm in the outfield, quick release, accurate throws, quick feet. Also pitched, 3/4, quick arm, solid fastball, curve for strikes. He is an excellent student.
