Andrew Cooper is a 2011 RHP/3B with a 6'0'', 173 lb. frame from Hillsdale, IL who attends Riverdale HS. Slender athletic build, developing strength. Side step delivery, clean compact arm action, high 3/4's release, stays on line. Steady 80-81 mph fastball, good run when down in zone, tends to pitch up with FB. Flat slurve by breaking ball, tends to get on side of CB at release, can keep improving with delivery adjustments. Good hands hitting, handles high velo pitchers well, consistent line drive contact, good aggressiveness, looks to pull, gets out to his front side quickly. Good student.
