Underkofler is a multi-versatile player that showed 2 way ability and a high ceiling. He has a very young body at 5 foot 11 and 155 pounds. He is a junior that will get bigger and stronger. He displayed good actions in both pitching and catching. He has a strong arm, athleticism and hitting ability. Although he can do it all he profiles primarily as a catcher. He showed agility and quickness on his blocking and throwing. His arm worked good and showed 75 mph velocity on his throws to second base. He receives easily from a good low and stable posture. At the plate he showed an excellent hitting approach with a short stride, quick hands and a short swing. He handled the wood bat well and we imagine that his bat-speed is excellent with aluminum. He has some power potential as he gets stronger. On the mound he showed a clean working arm from a 3/4 slot. His arm strength showed well with 80-83 mph velocity on his fastball, a couple showing sink. His arm is quick and easy to project. His curveball was 68-71 and his change-up showed sink between 73-75 mph. He racked up several strikeouts quickly and he threw lots of strikes with all 3 pitches. He is advanced for a junior from Montana and showed very well for this time of year. He needs to be watched closely by College Coaches. We think he is going to get a lot better and he's good already..
