Drew Arends is a 2011 RHP with a 6'4'', 160 lb. frame from Fort Dodge, IA who attends Fort Dodge HS. Tall, lanky build, especially slender in the upper half. Simple turn and throw delivery, stays on line, hides ball well, 3/4's release point, will need to work on getting better extension out front. FB consistent 79-81 mph, big sweeping slurve type slider has good depth, could take more off change up. Worked around the zone well, keeps pitches low, slider is tough pitch to hit at this level. Should continue to improve with strength. Good student.
