Roman Grimaldi is a 2006 2B/3B/SS from Northview High School in Duluth, GA, with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame. He is a lean and athletic player with room to grow. Defensively he has plus actions with soft hands and nice footwork. Grimaldi shows good range, and has the arm strength to play any of the infield positions. He also does a great job on slow rollers showing an accurate arm and very good body control. Grimaldi is a very good defensive player. He hits from the left side with a high back elbow, short stride, and a mature approach at the plate. Grimaldi stays balanced through his swing and shows very good bat speed through the hitting zone. He is a line drive hitter that will drive the ball from gap to gap. He also has a great eye at the plate with an understanding of the strike zone. Grimaldi has great upside and plays the game the right way. He is also a good student.

Roman Grimaldi is a 2006 infielder from Duluth, GA with a good body at 6-1, 180 lbs. We've seen him play all over the infield and he shows soft hands and good actions at all positions. He may settle in at second base, where his size, arm strength and left handed bat will all be a big advantage. Grimaldi is a good runner at 6.93/4.43 who shows speed on the bases. His speed seems even better because Grimaldi is a hustling type of player who goes all out on every play. Offensively, Grimaldi is a left handed hitter with a line drive swing plane and quick hands to the ball. He hits to all fields and is the type of player a coach will like having in the #2 hole to move the ball around the field and spark an inning. Grimaldi is a good student as well.

Grimaldi is a 6-1 left handed hitting infielder from Georgia. He lists himself as a primary second baseman but we’ve seen him play shortstop and third base plenty in the past and feel he’s best suited for the left side of the infield right now. His arm strength certainly is. Grimaldi threw 84 mph in drills with a fast, quick arm and looks like the type who you would like to see take the mound. Grimaldi is a 7.01 runner in the 60 and has short, quick actions in the infield. Grimaldi hits from a tall stance with a short stride and a very smooth and tension free left handed swing. He has some loft in his swing and likes to pull the ball and should develop home run power as he gets stronger. Grimaldi has present bat speed and hits the ball hard in games as well as batting practice. Grimaldi is a good student who should make a very good player at the next level.
