Michael Martin is a 2013 RHP/IF with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic HS. Strong athletic body. Cross body delivery with drift to release point, long fast arm action, tends to show ball in back, 3/4;s release point, ball comes out of his hand well. Upper 80's fastball topped out at 90 mph, has some sinking action at times. Mid 70's curveball, good biting action, 12/6 downer shape, commanded curveball very well, got curveball inside to LHH'ers, showed good feel for change up with late life. Three solid pitches with good command and life. Right handed hitter, long and strong swing, aggressive hitter, has some power potential, good lower half, good bat speed, tools to develop as a hitter. Excellent student.

Michael Martin is a 2013 RHP/IF, OF with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic. Martin has a large frame with a strong build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot and a long loose arm action. His arm works well and he has good arm speed. Martin gets a full turn at balance point and stays balanced through his delivery. He pitches across his body and gets some down plane on his fastball. Martin repeats his delivery well and has good rhythm. He throws an 11/5 curve ball with some bite to it. He also throws a change up with good sink to it. Martin pounds the strike zone and pitches to the inside part of the plate well. Outstanding student.

Drop and drive delivery with back side collapse, not consistent with release point/arm action but throws consistent strikes. Steady mid 80's fastball topped out at 86 mph, mostly straight. Change up best pitch, uses it frequently and confidently, maintains arm speed. curveball with short break. Long and strong swing, handles the barrel well, shows gap power. Excellent student.
