Jake Jarvis is a 2014 RHP/IF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein Collins HS. Strong well proportioned athletic build. Two-way prospect. quick arm, clean arm circle, has improved pitching mechanics. Fastball topped at 91 mph, got on hitters quickly, occasional arm side run, good curveball spin with depth, rare change up shows promise, still developing strike zone feel for off-speed. 7.21 runner, third base actions defensively, good hands, easy release, plays relaxed and slows game down well. Bat has really improved, good loose swing with whip out front, big raw bat speed, hard pull contact, power potential, stays balanced and hits through ball. May end up as better position prospect in two years. Good student. Verbal commitment to Texas.

Medium athletic build, very good strength for his age. 7.19 runner, very strong infield arm, plus carry, long extended release, good actions to the ball, quick feet and has range, hands still need some softening. Right handed hitter, aggressive hitter, quick hands, gets to his front side early, line drive swing with gap power, ball comes off the barrel well, can let the ball get deeper. Also pitched, calm drifting delivery, compact arm action, quick arm coming through. Fastball to 91 mph, mostly straight, throws strikes with fastball, nice feel for change up with good arm speed, drifting delivery hurts curveball release and consistency. Multi-talented athlete. Good student, verbal commitment to Texas.

Jarvis has an athletic build, used a 3/4 arm slot, has arm speed and arm works well, good mechanics, mixes pitches well, fastball has good life, very good deceptive change up, solid 11/5 breaking ball, very interesting follow on the mound, also can hit, good bat speed, ball comes off well, good hitting tools that project, hard game contact. youngest player at event, but was not intimidated. Very interesting young two way player to watch.
