Ty Harwell is a 2012 OF with a 5-8 185 lb. frame from Valdosta, GA who attends Lowndes County HS. Harwell has a strong and durable build with sloping shoulders. Charges ball well in the outfield, gets to ball quickly, long release and shows arm strength. Spread stance at the plate and has strength in his swing. Makes consistent solid line drive contact and employs a simple approach. Gets good leverage from a strong lower half and drives the ball into the gaps. Good student.
