Seth McGarry is a 2012 RHP/IF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Lakewood Ranch, FL who attends Lakewood Ranch HS. Slender athletic build, room to get stronger. Simple delivery mechanics with small wrap in back, quick easy arm action, some effort at release. Throws both 2-seam and 4-seam fastballs, 4-seamer up to 89 mph, very straight, 2-seamer shows very good sink in the mid 80's. Curveball best pitch, hard hammer up to 78 mph, hard late biting action, very good command of curveball, strikeout pitch. Nice change up, good movement and arm speed. Very tough to hit when ahead in the count, can come with any pitch. Signed with Florida Atlantic.

Seth McGarry is a 2012 RHP/IF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Lakewood Ranch, FL who attends Lakewood Ranch HS. Medium frame, slender build, young look. Slow paced back turn delivery, pause at the top, high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, accelerates arm, has some deception. Upper 80's fastball, touched 90 mph, gets good cutting action glove side. Tight slider at 80 mph with good tilt, big breaking 71 mph curveball with a hump in it, 12/6 shape. Still developing feel for his change up but trying. Has an idea how to pitch and mix it up, gives the hitter different looks. Better stuff from the windup. Verbal commitment to Florida Atlantic.

He hits from a slightly open stance at the plate, short quick swing, good contact, line drive approach. He has a strong arm in the IF, solid footwork, works through the ball well, quick release. Impressed on the mound, short arm action, ball gets on hitters quickly, hard slider with late break and tilit, 12/6 curve with good tight spin, throws downhill well. Good 2-way prospect. Named to Top Prospect Team at this event.
