Keven Pimentel is a 2014 RHP/3B with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Wading River, NY who attends Shoreham-Wading River HS. Big strong athletic build, fairly mature physically. Leg raise delivery, big hand separation, long fast arm action, 3/4's to high 3/4's arm slot, good lower half use, some effort on release. Steady low 90's fastball, topped out at 94 mph, ball gets on the hitter quickly with sharp downhill plane, overpowered hitters with his fastball. Sharp breaking slider flashes plus at times, hard spin and late action, still developing feel for change up. Around the zone with all pitches and can get away with the middle of the plate due to raw stuff. Good student, verbal commitment to Miami. Selected to the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
